As we march into May, we want to give kudos to all those Swiftie Fans who came to Vauxhall and put us on the Taylor Map! 

What a mash-up we have for you this month! From celebrating Cinco De Mayo, new exhibitions, sweat fitness clubs, and gardening with our neighbours, we could not be prouder of our patch of South London! 

Diverse, you say. Didn’t Vauxhall put the D in Diverse? 

 

Saturday 4th

A Long Time Ago, in a Railway Arch Far, Far Away…

… VauxWall West was born. On Saturday, May 4th, VauxWall will have a Birthday Comp to celebrate ten years in Vauxhall. Come down for the Comp; they will honour off-peak and any rates lower than £10.

Fresh Faces Of Film

Mother Kelly’s Vauxhall will be home to Let Me In’s second “Fresh Faces Of Film” event on 5th May. It’s an afternoon that features a selection of short films by exciting up-and-coming talent, with an opportunity to network and get to know similarly minded individuals carving their way in the entertainment industry.

Saturday 11th

Cacao, Restorative Yoga & Crystal Sound Therapy at Embody Wellness

Join Heather Hepburn for this blissful 90-minute event, beginning with a nourishing and healing cacao ceremony. This is followed by an hour of restorative yoga designed to relax and restore. Then, a beautiful selection of wind gongs and crystal sound bowls will encourage a deep state of release and relaxation for the weekend. This workshop is suitable for everyone unless in the first trimester of pregnancy.

Memories of the Five Administrations

In May, Beaconsfield will be presenting Memories of the Five Administrations. This exhibition sees British conceptualists Simon Bedwell and Stephen Sutcliffe coalesce individual approaches to poetic satire and contemporary pop culture in a collaborative exhibition fusing ceramics and video.

Gardening Club at Vauxhall City Farm

Led by an experienced Vauxhall City Farm gardener, you will learn about plants, flowers, and seasonal produce and how to create animal-friendly environments in our open spaces. Equipped with the tools and knowledge, you will have the chance to get hands-on and design and develop areas within our Vauxhall City Farm Community Garden. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet others, spend time outdoors, and learn new skills, fortnightly on Wednesdays.
