Vauxhall is many things to many different people. We love the slightly weird mix and we celebrate differences here.

But this week, we’ve got some great stuff happening for our younger residents to keep them not only occupied but inspired and engaged over half term. Parents, you can thank us later.

 

Dance the Day Away at Base Dance Studios Taster Day

Does your little one have the energy to spare or a flair for theatrics? Sign them up for the Base Studios Taster Day. Open to kids 16 and under, the taster is run by the amazing Base Academy Faculty teachers.

Feed the imagination with Walker Books

For the ones with a wild imagination, Walker Books are the best in the book biz. The Vauxhall-based team are renowned for their original publishing and outstanding quality. Since the year 2000, their volunteers run reading classes with children at local schools in Vauxhall, keeping the minds of our local children alive and full of imagination. Why not browse their great selection of beautifully illustrated books and purchase a few for your little bookworm to devour over the holidays? Storytime at Vauxhall City Farm

Time to gather up your little chooks! Author Michelle Stewart will be launching and reading from her children’s book inspired by our very own Vauxhall City Farm.

Calling all science and Nature lovers! The Garden Museum is hosting a science workshop that delves into the weird and wonderful world of the fungi kingdom! Suitable for kids 8-16 years old, the event is free, but book your tickets so you don’t miss out!

Community Day at Black Prince Trust

As Black History Month comes to an end, this Trust is hosting a FREE day of incredible events during half term. Held on October 28 the Trust will provide a free Caribbean lunch on the day. Book in with the professional basketball players and boxing teachers, offering taster sessions to spoken word and music workshops.
