Let’s get lit! The days may be getting shorter, but when the darkness comes it’s always best to look for the light.

Enjoy a kaleidoscope of colour with lights and visual projections along the 3km route above the tunnels to celebrate the new Northern line extension, bringing together the Battersea, Nine Elms and Kennington communities.

Presented by Wandsworth and Lambeth Council with the visual feast served by Projection Teknik, illuminations will paint and adorn the new stations and a selection of buildings along the route. For those who want to get fully immersed in the experience, you can download soundscapes to accompany your walk. Created by Sam Jones of SoundThread in collaboration with local groups and students from the Royal College of Art, the soundscapes will be available as podcasts, which you can download on the official event website.

Kicking off from 6:30 every evening on Friday 29 October and Saturday 30 October, there also will be plenty of free activities and entertainment from 4 pm by the new outdoor festival hubs along the route at New Union Square (SW11) and Wilcox Road (SW8) with pop-up food stalls from 4 pm and free activities and entertainment for all ages from 6 pm – 9 pm.
