Places to eat and drink with outdoor seating in Vauxhall

If you can find a better way to spend a gorgeous sunny afternoon in London than enjoying a great beer garden or sipping a coffee on the river, we’re all ears…

Mother Kelly’s

With 33 taps and an ever-changing selection of craft beer – this is the place to head to for a cold one on a hot day. Grab yourself a table outside and let their expert staff help you choose from their extensive range.

Brunswick House

Come for the beautiful decor, stay for chef Jackson Boxer’s equally delightful food.

This restaurant – set inside a Georgian mansion full of eclectic interior delights – is a feast for all the senses. Their outdoor terrace is the ultimate place to enjoy good food and good weather (and maybe get a few pics for Instagram if that’s your thing).

Vauxhall Food & Beer Garden

Perfect if you want to try a little bit of everything – Vauxhall Food & Beer Garden is a “purveyor of the finest street food from chefs around the world”. Designed to celebrate South London’s storied past, this is a great place to head to if you’re looking for tasty street food, drinks aplenty and a great atmosphere.

Tamesis Dock

Want to enjoy the majesty of the Thames with a tipple? Tamesis Dock is a converted 1930s Dutch barge, permanently moored between Lambeth & Vauxhall Bridge. Tamesis Dock serves up delicious pizzas every day of the week, or just hop aboard for a drink.

The Black Dog

Head to The Black Dog’s garden or patio for some upmarket pub grub. Their outside space is half covered, ideal come rain or shine, and we can confirm that their Sunday roasts are every bit as delicious as you’d expect. If you’re after a cold one, they have an impressive 14 beers on tap, including a guest beer that changes weekly.

The Royal Vauxhall Tavern

A stalwart of Vauxhall’s pub scene – the Royal Vauxhall Tavern is best known as an LGBTQ+ cabaret venue and has been open since the 1980s. The venue has suffered considerably as a result of Covid-19 but thankfully is blessed with an outdoor space large enough to seat 60 people. Head here for a great atmosphere and support Vauxhall’s LGBTQ+ community!

Canton Arms

If good food, good wine and a relaxed atmosphere are what you’re after, the patio at Canton Arms holds everything you require. With an impressive menu serving more than your average pub grub fare, make sure you come hungry. Top tip: check out the specials board for seasonal dishes designed to be shared.

The Riverside

Just a short walk from Vauxhall station, The Riverside is – you guessed it – located beside the Thames and boasts panoramic views of the riverbank, the London Eye and Battersea Power Station. There’s always plenty of good Young’s beer on tap, and their huge heated terrace is ideal for socialising well into the evening.
