Weekend brunching in Vauxhall

Everyone knows that brunch is the most important meal of the day, especially if it comes with a side of prosecco. Lockdown restrictions have eased and venues are COVID secure, so make the most of the last weeks of summer of South London’s top spots for brunch, found right here in Vauxhall.

Cottons

A tropical retreat with a gorgeous terrace on the Thames riverside, Cottons are London’s longest-running Caribbean restaurants and rum shacks. Every weekend they serve up delicious brunch dishes with a Caribbean twist, with the option to level up to bottomless rum punch or prosecco. 2 hours of bottomless with a brunch dish is an amazing value at £27.50, running every weekend and the August bank holiday Monday.

Merano Rose Bar

Serving up an amazing array of pastries and brunch favourites all week long, as well as exciting options like yuzu crab benedict, Merano Rose Bar is a designer coffee and champagne bar in a prime position on Albert Embankment. In addition to their delicious breakfasts, they also offer afternoon tea, lunch and dinner with an extensive cocktail menu.

Fruit Punch at Vauxhall Food & Beer Garden

Want some live entertainment with your brunch? Head to the newly refurbished Vauxhall Food & Beer Garden every Saturday for House of Dinosaur’s new bottomless brunch game show. Fruit Punch features interactive, socially distanced fun, a meal from one of the garden’s street food stalls and 90 minutes of bottomless cocktails for just £30.

Riverside London

A short walk from Vauxhall station, the Riverside offers an indulgent brunch menu including pulled pork brioche and sirloin steak sandwiches. If you want to make it boozy, their new cocktail menu features Grey Goose Bloody Mary’s and Jameson Irish coffees, which you can order to your table through the Young’s on Tap app.

Tamesis Dock

If a poached egg and smashed avo brunch isn’t your thing, head to floating bar Tamesis Dock for freshly made pizzas, pub grub and great beers on tap. Enjoy an amazing range of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options on the converted 1930s Dutch barge, with a sun-drenched outdoor terrace featuring amazing views of London.
