July is peak Vauxhall. Free films in the park, live music, community pétanque competitions and plenty of reasons to spend more time outdoors.
Summer Screens returns to Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens with four weeks of free outdoor cinema, while Summer Sessions launches for the first time with free live music every Wednesday lunchtime. Elsewhere, Bearpit Karaoke is back for another afternoon of gloriously unfiltered singalongs, Neighbours Day returns to the Garden Museum, and The Big One brings its monthly pétanque tournament back to Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens.
There are plenty of new food spots, too. Grab a bagel from Three Buds Cafe, say hello to Don Don London, or celebrate Wimbledon with strawberry-inspired specials at Market Place Vauxhall before the Championships wrap up. And with summer camps running throughout the holidays at SkateHub and Boury Academy, the school holidays are sorted.
Whether you’re planning family days out, date nights or simply somewhere to enjoy a warm summer evening, there is plenty to stay in Vauxhall for!
Summer Screens Returns
One of Vauxhall’s best summer traditions is back. Summer Screens returns to Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens with four weeks of free outdoor cinema, bringing blockbuster favourites, family films and cult classics to our big screen.
Bring a blanket, grab dinner from one of Vauxhall’s local restaurants, supermarkets or street food traders and settle in before the opening credits roll. Free, relaxed and open to everyone, it’s one of London’s best outdoor cinema experiences.
The Big One – Pétanque in Vauxhall
Swap the pub for the pétanque pitch this July. The Big One is Vauxhall’s monthly doubles tournament, welcoming seasoned players and first-timers alike for a relaxed day of friendly competition. No partner? No problem. Come along, meet fellow players and have a go at one of France’s favourite sports in the heart of Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens.
Summer Camps at SkateHub
Running throughout July and August, SkateHub’s holiday camps welcome beginners and confident skaters alike. Qualified coaches, all equipment provided and plenty of time on the ramps make this one of the most active ways to spend the holidays.
Summer Camps at Boury Academy
Packed with singing, dancing, drama and games, Boury Academy’s summer camps are designed to build confidence while keeping children entertained throughout the holidays. For ages 4-16, 10am-4pm, hot lunch included. £80 for the whole week.
Welcome to Vauxhall: Don Don
Vauxhall’s food scene has another welcome addition. Don Don serves Japanese comfort food, including donburi bowls, katsu, sushi and noodles, making it an easy choice for lunch or dinner.
Wimbledon at Market Place Vauxhall
Market Place Vauxhall is celebrating Wimbledon with strawberries-and-cream specials, inventive dishes, Pimm’s and every match shown live on the big screens.
Bearpit Karaoke
London’s legendary outdoor karaoke returns to Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens. Grab the mic or simply enjoy the wonderfully chaotic performances from the crowd.
Neighbours Day at the Garden Museum
Get to know the Garden Museum at their free open day with art, gardening and community activities for all ages. Try some seed sowing and planting with the museum gardeners, natural tie-dying, pollination science, wood carving, tai chi and more.
Summer Sessions
Your lunch break, but better!
