February in Vauxhall doesn’t hibernate, it recalibrates. It’s a month that leans into culture, connection and warmth in all its forms, whether that’s dancing off the winter blues, gathering around community tables, or spending an afternoon immersed in art.
From free creative sessions for young people and joyful Saturday morning Zumba, to thoughtful exhibitions and proper nights out, this month’s line-up is about showing up: For yourself, for your neighbours, and for the places that make Vauxhall what it is.
Free Performing Arts & Dance Sessions
A brilliant way to kick off the month. PPAS is offering free performing arts and dance sessions designed to help young people build confidence, creativity and coordination — all through play, movement and performance.
These sessions are welcoming, inclusive and led by experienced facilitators who know how to bring the best out of young performers, whether they’re natural show-offs or a little more reserved. For ages 5–11.
Zumba Fit Saturdays
Every Saturday morning, Metropolis brings the energy with Zumba Fit — an upbeat, welcoming session that feels more like a dance party than a workout. Expect big tunes, big smiles and zero pressure.
Set inside one of Vauxhall’s most eclectic spaces, these sessions are ideal for all levels and a great way to warm up cold February weekends.
Community Lunch
A weekly Vauxhall institution. Bonnington Café’s community lunches are about shared tables, generous plates and conversation that flows easily between neighbours.
Volunteer-run and proudly cooperative, this is one of the most genuine ways to experience Vauxhall’s community spirit — especially on a winter Tuesday.
Roam Café Play Sessions
Roam Café continues to carve out space for families with its thoughtful Play Sessions — combining a warm café, indoor play space and community-focused ethos.
Founded by local women, Roam is about connection as much as coffee, offering parents and carers a place to pause while children play and explore.
The Boury Academy Free Trial Classes
Thinking about theatre or dance classes? February is the perfect time to try it out for free at The Boury Academy — one of Vauxhall’s most respected performing arts schools.
Focused on confidence, creativity and collaboration, these sessions give young people a taste of what Boury does best in a supportive, high-quality environment.
Cheer Up’s Love This Valentine’s Ball
Put your “Hand on your heart” and head to the iconic Royal Vauxhall Tavern for Cheer Up’s “Love This” Valentines Ball, a night filled with the feels.
“Turn it into love” or a “bad romance” – expect your favourite pop, dance and hands-in-the-air anthems all night long, including classics from Kylie, Jason, Madonna, Dannii, Cher, Lady Gaga, Bananarama, Hazell Dean, Sinitta, Jade, Whitney, Britney, Sonia, Mel & Kim, Dead or Alive, Steps, Pet Shop Boys, Sabrina Carpenter and more.
Valentine’s Day at Brunswick House
Brunswick House does Valentine’s with effortless elegance. Think candlelight, antiques, seasonal cooking and an atmosphere that feels special without trying too hard.
Perfect for date nights, celebrations or anyone who believes romance should come with really good food.
Beyond
For those who like their weekends loud, late and into the next week, Beyond delivers full-scale club nights with serious production and unapologetic energy.
A staple of Vauxhall nightlife and a reminder that winter doesn’t mean slowing down.
Six Nations in Vauxhall
The Six Nations brings big energy to Vauxhall, with pubs across the area showing the matches and filling up with locals, regulars and rugby fans. To make life easy, we’ve pulled together a handy round-up of where to watch every match right here in the neighbourhood.
It all kicks off on 5 February with Ireland v France — and yes, it’s shaping up to be an absolute cracker. Expect packed pubs, pints flying, and serious atmosphere from the first whistle to the last.
Have a scroll, pick your pub, and get those tables booked — you know it’s going to be carnage.
Nocturnal Melody – Umi Ishihara
A slower, more reflective way to close out the month. Nocturnal Melody is an atmospheric exhibition that rewards repeat visits, inviting you into a quiet, dreamlike space shaped by sound, light and memory.
Perfect for winter afternoons when you want to take things at your own pace.
3310 – Noughty By Nature
It’s all in the name – 3310 serves pure millennial queer chaos, and it’s back this month with another party of hands-in-the-air glory on the dance floor. Fast becoming one of London’s most popular party destinations, this night pulls a massive crowd who know their Little Mix from their Lady Gaga. It’s bangers all night, babes! Happy hour till 10pm. Advanced £8 tickets online; £9 on the door. Last entry 2.30am.
