As the sun sets on another glorious summer, we’re looking back at the moments that brought Vauxhall together.

Music that had us singing, films under the stars, history brought to life, and a few surprises along the way. From karaoke and outdoor cinema to free family days packed with community energy, here’s how the neighbourhood made the most of summer 2025.

Bearpit Karaoke

If you know, you definitely know. Bearpit Karaoke stormed back this summer, with every month a sell-out.

Hosted by the legendary Berliner Joe Hatchiban, our ‘bearpit’ once again became the place to be on a Saturday afternoon. Brave souls grabbed the mic, others just came for the spectacle, but together we turned Vauxhall into a full-throttle outdoor party.

The atmosphere? Electric, as ever.

Vauxhall Summer Screens

Tuesday nights in July = movie nights in the Pleasure Gardens.

Now in its twelfth year, Vauxhall Summer Screens proved that a great film under the London sky is still unbeatable. Deck chairs, picnic blankets, and a feast of street food from Bokitla and Harlem 2 Manila meant Vauxhall was buzzing week after week.

From Aladdin and Jumanji to Mean Girls and Sister Act II, thousands came from across Vauxhall and beyond to laugh, sing and quote along.

Victorian Vauxhall

August brought Victorian Vauxhall back to life with two jam-packed days of circus skills, history and hands-on fun for all ages.

Jump London had us skipping (though the kids definitely showed the grown-ups how it’s done), while Neon Performing Arts got everyone moving with salsa sessions in the sun. The bubbleologist worked his magic on the little ones, and the Acro Chaps left us howling with laughter.

These afternoons captured what makes Vauxhall Summer so special: free community days where heritage meets performance and fun.

Shaping Vauxhall’s Future: Community Survey

Summer wasn’t just about looking back — we also looked forward.

Through our community survey, we asked you to share your vision for Vauxhall in the next five years. From more green space to more culture, your ideas will help shape the neighbourhood we build together.

There’s still time to complete the survey if you’d like to share your own vision for Vauxhall. Click here to tell us your thoughts.

Thank you.

To everyone who came along, joined in and made these events unforgettable — thank you. Whether you were belting out your favourite tune, quoting Mean Girls word for word, or spinning plates with the kids, you were part of what makes Vauxhall shine.

Here’s to another season of music, laughter, and community magic in 2026!
