What does the #metoo movement mean for gay men? Velvet, an award-winning one-hour monologue, explores this and the theme of harassment in acting industry, set against the backdrop of the 2017 #metoo movement.

The story is relayed to us by Tom, an actor on the brink of success, who dreams of making it to the bigtime. But faced with an impossible decision, Tom suddenly faces his big opportunity slipping through his fingers…

Velvet won took home ‘Outstanding Monologue’ from Theatre Weekly in Edinburgh 2018’s best of the fest, and won the Sean Meehan Identity in Theatre Award 2019.
