The River Thames’ most famous bar on a barge has reopened!

The lovely team at Tamesis Dock Vauxhall are welcoming people back on board for one of the best stops for a sunset view. Sadly, there will be no live music or ukelele events just yet, for now it’s all about a crisp pint and some delicious pub grub, whilst taking in the river view.

The outdoor decks have tables spaced apart, either pre-book via the app or drop in and be seated by the team. Table service is in place and it’s the same friendly team serving you all, now with some snazzy face masks.

If you’ve never visited Tamesis Dock before, it’s well worth a wander along the Albert Embankment, if nothing more than to discover what a 1930s Dutch bar looks like when given a Vauxhall makeover. The charming inside normally hosts live music, DJs and other mischief, with a cozy and imperfect mix of chairs, tables and pictures adorning the walls. The Floating Jazz Club is due to make its first reappearance on August 18th, which we hope means that more live music is set to follow.

In the meantime you’ll just have to settle for some ice cold beers and the sun setting over the river. We think you can cope.
