There have been many learnings from a period of time spent inside, but one that has been so simple to understand is the joy that many of us get from plants. Be they trees on a walk, or the houseplants that have been kept alive due to time spent indoors. Their calming nature has helped balance a stressful year. The Garden Museum is celebrating their continuing power in art, as they host the first year of Super Nature, a fair of art that captures the joy of greenery.
From oil paintings to photography, collages to print-making, all the work is for sale at this affordable fair and will be priced at under £500, with an abundance of art to appeal to garden and art lovers alike. There are plenty of workshops to enjoy too, with the chance to try flower pressing and foliage painting amongst other skills.
If you are someone that has realised quite how much joy the simple addition of plants have been in your home over the past few weeks and months, this is an opportunity to enjoy an artist’s impression of this relationship, and perhaps even bring a new piece of art home to hang.
For a full floral experience of Vauxhall, after the fair, take a wander along the Albert Embankment and head back via the Pleasure Gardens. Take in the gorgeous green space, and if you’ve time for tea and cake, drop in at the Tea House Theatre for some top scones!
