Joined by multi-instrumentalist and composer Kareem Samara, Ruba and Farah will be sharing the same stage for the first time.
Mai w Dai is a playful celebration of things taking their time to bloom and grow. It is a performance which acknowledges the fast pace of living in a big city such as London, yet which chooses to take a moment to sing for slowness. Its songs want to glorify the pace of the sloth or the process of a caterpillar transforming into a butterfly. They also want to sing for love, good friendships, and clumsiness.
This night on the lovely Tamesis Dock boat bar will also be a celebration of Farah leaving London to embark on a new adventure. We will be drinking and dancing until we forget that she is going away.
