Relaxed pub on the Vauxhall Kennington border that is perfect for a quiet drink, or enjoy some gorgeous grub.

The Duchy Arms Vauxhall is a real crowd-pleaser, with the right balance of a modern feel, with all the cosiness of a proper local. Tucked away behind Kennington Road and Black Prince Road, you’d be forgiven for not easily being able to spot this pub, but it’s certainly worth a wander down to Sandcroft Street for the pleasure. The friendly team welcomes a regular mix of office workers and neighbours frequently into its home.

Open every morning from 10 am, there is a brunch menu served daily, with options from a full English (including a vegan version!) to light bites and snacks. The rest of the menu has all your pub classics. An extensive selection of delicious burger choices and fish & chips. There’s plenty of choice for the veggies and vegans too. There’s also a kids menu and children are very welcome to join.

Sports fans will be pleased to know they have Sky Sports and BT Sports and show all major games in the pub. It is highly recommended you join on a Wednesday evening for the popular weekly pub quiz. If testing your brain cells isn’t your idea of fun, why not try a Friday evening when cocktails are 2-4-1 from 5 until 10 pm.
